Matthew Farnsworth founded Farnsworth Landscaping, a design and build landscaping company, in 1992. For the past 28 years Matthew and his teams have been growing beautiful yard and garden spaces in the Greater Bay Area – including Marin, San Francisco, Sonoma, and Alameda Counties.

Matthew’s passion is in creating a fluidity between indoor and outdoor living spaces that are ecologically conscious and harmoniously integrated into the living ecosystem of each location.

Matthew honors sustainable practices, which include: working with deer-resistant and drought-tolerant California Native and Mediterranean plants; utilizing recycled and sustainably harvested building materials (whenever possible); incorporating edible flower and vegetable gardens; and developing irrigation and water systems with a focus on water harvesting, recirculation, and conservation.
